Innovative EYEVIDO technology patented since 2020

After conducting extensive research, EYEVIDO GmbH’s innovative method for efficient usability testing was patented across Europe and the USA in 2020.
At the core of EYEVIDO, this smart screenshot technology captures even the most dynamic websites and provides the perfect base for visualizing behavioral user data (eye-tracking, mouse, scrolling). It allows the results to be viewed accumulated or individually and therefore makes data evaluation incredibly efficient.

The „Screen recording preparation method for evaluating software usability” has been protected in the pantent EP3640804B1 and US2020125481A1.

Research project UDeco – automated usability evaluation using artificial intelligence (2021 – 2023)

Usability evaluation can be very time-consuming and problems are not always easy to identify. But what if there were an artificial intelligence that automatically evaluated recorded user data and drew on expert UX knowledge?

This is precisely the goal of the UDeco research project, which was launched at the beginning of 2021. By building a usability data ecosystem consisting of usability knowledge from experts and data mining, the system is expected to evolve and gain more knowledge on its own through machine learning. The goal is to automate the evaluation process by applying the accumulated knowledge to usability studies and to support usability experts in their evaluation.

The research project is made in collaboration with the Institute for Parallel and Distributed Systems IPSV at the University of Stuttgart. The project is funded by the KMU-innovativ program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and has a duration of 2.5 years.

Research project GazeMining – Analysis and interpretation of eye tracking and interaction data on dynamic web pages (2018 – 2020)

The Gaze Mining research project of EYEVIDO GmbH and the WeST Institute of the University of Koblenz-Landau started in January 2018 and was successfully completed in August 2020.

The goal of GazeMining was to semantically capture web sessions and thus obtain a fully comprehensive picture of visual content, perception and interaction. The log streams, consisting of eye tracking and interaction data from usability tests, were recorded and processed with the help of data mining and AI to enable extremely efficient and at the same time complete access to the data.

Several scientific papers were published within the research project, among others Enhanced representation of web pages for usability analysis with eye tracking.
